Clutch kits for hi HP

Hey guys,
just woundering what lind of aftermarket clutches u guys are running on your stangs , or any brands I should look into.I will need one that will be good for my current set up which includes Hurst shift , BBk headers , BBK TB , Custom tune , WAI , off rd x pipe , mangna packs(magnaflow),and a vortech HO kit 9-10 psi for now.I dont have the blower installed (or my gears)but i dont think the stock clutch will hold.I also am looking into the livernois strocker kit maybe next summer.

Spec 3+ and don't look back. It is like butta....

This has been used on an 05 and 06 GT both pushing 500 to the wheels...perfect clutch.

I've heard worse about centerforce than SPEC, actually I haven't heard anything bad about SPEC. And these are personal friends who drive 14 second down to 10 second cars.

About to order a SPEC for the Bullitt actually.

the spec 2+ shows 600ft/p tq capasity , shouldent that be more than enough compared to the 3+ whis is for up to 800?
and does anyone know how much harder the clutch will be?Still everyday driveable for the summer?

Everyday drivability is a matter of preference. I've driven a car with a SPEC 3 and I could put up with it everyday and his car is everyday driven(year round, not just summer) as well. I've heard the SPEC 3+ is actually better for day to day driving, also.

What he said.

The 3 is good, very on/off though. It is what I have. It is streetable if you don't mind some chatter. The 3+ is much smoother and much more streetable and capable of higher HP.

As for stiffness of the clutch, my 3 is not stiff at all. It was actually much softer than the stock cobra clutch. The 3+ is even lighter.

I have a Stage 1 in the 90. It's pretty stiff, and very on/off. I love it. Never had any problems with it whatsoever.

Thats because the stock Terminator clutch is rediculiously stiff.

Now that there is an understatement.

Re: Clutch kits for hi HP

The clutch was probably the main reason I picked my car over two others that I drove.(well that and the fact that my car is pulleyed and the other two weren't. And I said before I went up there that I wasn't going to buy a modded car.) The clutches in the other two cars that I drove didn't have much travel or feel to them. They were just extremely stiff on what little travel they had and you had to push them all the way to the floor to get them to not grind gears, it was kind of embarrassing. I guess its like they say "no two Cobras are alike," because the clutch in my car feel much nicer and I think its suppose to be stock.
