wanted:450hp normally aspirated

I have an 06' gt that I'm very proud of like most of us, but I'm tired of looking stupid being left behind at the lights.I have already done a lot of the easy helpful breathing add-ons.I.E. K&N cold air in take, magnaflow catless x-pipe, corsa mufflers, SCT custom tune done right off a dyno.Plus springs and control arms for hook up. I WANT SOME BIG HAIRY BALLS OUT OF THAT CAR!What else do I need to do without bottles, chargers, or turbo's to get 450hp normally aspirated?

H/C/I.

You'll have to wait for more companies to figure out this new engine design.

Your only option to do it N/A is to build the engine or swap out to a 4v dohc engine~

Re: wanted:450hp normally aspirated

Or a carburated 408 with afr 205's (or you could do the whole EFI swap and have an EFI 408 in an 05 up)

Get Blown...thats about your only option right now if you want to keep the 3V...

on another note, fyi, 20-in chrome wheels weigh a TON and aren't very condusive to straight line speed as far as drag racing goes...

Re: wanted:450hp normally aspirated

Its almost impossible to hit 300 RWHP with bolt ons, H/C/I are going to gain no where close to 450RWHP besides why spend all that loot for minimal gains. You can drop $6K in the car and have 475 RWHP tomorrow with a KB or Whipple. Until the aftermarket builders catch up 450 will be hard.

impossible too hit 300rwhp on a 3v with bolt ons? who dynoed your car? I watched one dyno personally bone stock that made 272hp 304ftlbs surely too god with bolt ons it could gain 28hp.

intake, throttle body, throttle body spacer, udp's, cat-back exhaust and a hand-held turner (i.e. SCT or Diablosport) will get you between 310 and 325 rwhp, so im not sure where you got your info, but those are all bolt-ons, and have been done many times...

I know Thomas will agree, but you can achieve this goal of 450 N/A whp with an LS motor.

Swap in a stroked Windsor.

You might be able to squeeze that out of a worked over 5.4L too, but that's gonna be money.

On a dyno Jet!

Stock these cars are 255 and below auto to 270 and below Stick....45 HP to 30Hp isn't easy.
272HP bone stock? Nice factory ride there. Goiod for him, hes one of the few.
300HP -18%= 246 auto
300HP -12%= 264 stick
Yes its doable but harder than you think. You can spend alot and have it be hard to hit 300....so 450 will take alot.

Re: wanted:450hp normally aspirated

If I was to do any motor swap I would get the cobra motor. I do want to supercharge it but I wanted to build a better foundation than just the stock motor.About the wheels, I don't like these rims they came with the car.I would love to get some one piece aluminum. Thanks for all the feed back.

Let's not start arguing about so and so who put down xxx amount of power on some random dyno.

Point is, all dyno's are different.

The second point is you can see real gains with bolt-ons in the 3v's.

The third point is...you're not gonna see mid 400's without FI.

Don't be afraid of all that extra air being forcefully rammed down a tiny little hole into your unsuspecting engine at velocities great enough to rip off a weaker car's heads.

Roush already does make parts for GM...they have been for several months now as far as I know...

ROUSH Performance : Online Store GM Vehicles

I am sure that they will be building lots of motors for GM vehicles before long too

+1 I don't agree with mixing the breeds. GM has SLP & Lingiflelter Roush need to stick with Fords. don't agree with the statement of Gm garbage though

Re: wanted:450hp normally aspirated

Actually, SLP is Ford now as well

They had to come over to this side of the fence cause the camaro is/was gone.

Besides didn't we have this not but a month or two ago????? I'll go back and find it....

*edit* Forgot that we can't do that far back of a search. Anyways, the whole point of the discussion was that, just because aftermarket companies make parts for our "competitors," doesn't mean that it is a bad thing. Think, if they make more parts and sell more stuff, they make more money, meaning less profit needed per part.

Sides, K and N makes air filters for honduhs, chebbys, mitsu's, nissans, just like flowmaster makes mufflers for every car out there. Hell Trickflow makes a Vortec style head for a chevy, and AFR also makes heads. BBK makes parts for all of those..... Not to mention, Mickey Thompson, JBA, Nitto, Diamond/CP pistons, Eibach, H&R, Coast High Performance, Mahle, JE, Cervini's, Felpro... I could go on and on.

If you want to ***** about being brand specific for your brand of car, i.e. mustang, the only parts catalog you could EVER own would be an FRPP Catalog.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

How do you like the sound of your car with the off road x-pipe? Is it too loud? I have a flowmaster axle back and was contemplating an offroad x-pipe, but will probably just keep the cats and replace the stock H with an X.

Re: wanted:450hp normally aspirated

I don't see you hitting 375 whp without boring/stroking the motor, increasing compression, lightening up the powertrain(aluminum rods), and a full engine build so you can rev it to kingdom come to where you can achieve that kind of NA power.... Not to be a ****** of all the stuff you listed these are the only things that contributed to power:

Steeda Cold Air Intake and High Flow Elbow, BBK-1763 Twin 62mm Throttle body, Livernois 5 Axis CNC, Ported Stage 3 Heads, Comp Cams Stage 4 Cams, MSD Blaster Coil-on-Plug Kit, Steeda Underdrive Pulley Kit, MMR Windage Tray, Kooks Long Long-Tube Headers w/Jet Hot Coating, Custom Welded Mid Pipe Including “H”, Spin Tech Axle Back Muffler Kit

Granted that's quite a bit of stuff, but you also forgot, injectors, rails, fuel pump(not too keen on the S197 fuel system). The problem here is going to be displacement. I know there are tons all motor Modular guys out there(NMRA), but most of them use 4V motors and EEEEEEEK by with meerly a tad over 400 at the wheels....... Not saying impossible, but going all motor on such a small displacement engine is not something I'd drive everyday. It's definately different, and if you pull if off Kudos to you my friend. Good luck!
