New Coolant Reservoirs

I just put new Moroso reservoirs in this week (radiator and heat exchanger). The H.E. reservoir holds alot more fluid and will help keep the temps down. I think they look much better than the plastic stock tanks.

Learn how to use the ice tank feature and enjoy year round tracking...just don't forget to add coolant in the winter time. I caught mine in time to enjoy a water wetter/ distilled water slushy last year.

Good point. I keep it in the heated garage, and last year ran only water and water wetter, but around February I got nervous of what may happen if the electricity went out in the house and changed it out. I am at all water and water wetter again, and may be changing to add coolant for winter.

It is definately easier to put ice in this tank than the stocker. I go so far as to put distilled water in ice tray's and wrap them in saran wrap and freeze the distilled water to make extremely clear ice cubes.

Re: New Coolant Reservoirs

The Moroso Tanks look great on your car. With my Vortech I used a Canton Racing Products expansion tank.

Sweet !

I am also helping a buddy down here in the next couple of weeks to install the same polished tank with his Vortech equiped mustang to replace the original plastic tank he had. I will add a pic when we install.

Re: New Coolant Reservoirs

I really enjoy being able to ice down my IC fluid... The best part is, I never have to buy ice or drain fluid to do so....A flip of the switch gives me 40-50* fluid temps in 100* louisiana glory days.

Edit: Oh yeah, and 100* IAT2 temps at the top of 4th gear. lol

Yea, I heard those Killer Chillers are pretty nice - those lower temps make a huge difference. You have a killer car !

Scott2, wow you have a list of mods in your garage - Nice Car !

Here is a pic of the car we will be installing the other polished tank in:

It's weird...it always starts small...and then, you're terminal with the mod bug.
