Gas pumpimg problem

U have a 05 gt and it has trouble taking gas. It will only take like 15 cents at a time and kicks the pump off. My friend has a 08 gt and has the same problem

Re: Gas pumpimg problem

Make sure the nozzle is all the way in (thats what she said) and gets a good seal, if the gas nozzle senses too much air it will shut off automatically for safety

Re: Gas pumpimg problem

dont know if this is related but I had to replace the gas tank nozzle on my 2000 gt - put gas in but gas would leak out somwhere before it got to the tank . perhaps the nozzle is got a hole or bent ...

Well when it's warm outside it pumps fine. Just messes up when really cold

Re: Gas pumpimg problem

My 05 had the same issue. Its not about being all the way in either. I believe it a factory deal.

My 65 does it. If I hold the nozzle all the way in and at just the right angle, it will fill correctly.
