Winter blues!!

How many of you guys park your stang in the winter? I can't take it!!! I'm just dying to take it for a blast now and then. I live in Toronto Canada and the winters suck! I fire it up a couple times a week till it get up to temp. What things do you over the winter? Counting the days to spring....

Mines parked most of the time. As long as there's snow or ice it's in the shed. I hate winter

Re: Winter blues!!

Yup stored in winter, live in MN here. I pull the battery and don't start her until spring. I wouldn't let it run long enough to operating temp and don't want any condensation anywhere. I go to the garage alot just to look at her. Spring seems so far away! Then again if gas hits 4-5 bucks a gallon I won't be driving it as much this summer.

Youre tellin me!! Mine is tucked safely away in the garage sitting on some carpet pieces with a fresh oil change, just waiting for warmer weather!
Bad thing is I've only driven it like 10 miles since I got it!! The anticipation sucks, but with the salt and crap on the roads, its not leaving the driveway until after a heavy rain in the spring!!
The time will come to enjoy it pretty soon though!
And yes WINTER SUCKS!!!

That's not bad here in Canada gas is 1.35 a liter!! That's over 6 bucks a gallon. I'm hoping I'll have her out on the streets in two months. Miss giving it to all the Chevys , dodges and everything else!!

I'm from Connecticut. I feel your pain. I just took it out to give it a final wash before I put the cover on it since we had a fairly warm day.... If you count 40 degree weather warm. It was a sad day and I am also counting down the days until spring... But I kind of like it... It gives me something to look forward to. It will be like seeing a family member you haven't seen in a while...

You guys need to get your cars out and enjoy them. If something were to happen to you someone else would sure enjoy it. Salt washes off with soap and water. Besides cars today are built so much better, there not going to rust.

When you live in Canada and drive a 500whp car it's stupid plus salt eats everything.. My paint will look brand new in 20 years

Re: Winter blues!!

thankfully I am in Alabama and I can drive my car pretty much year round with no issues (other than it being less than 60 outside so no droping the top generally in the winter)

Living in Florida, I also drive pretty much all year. I don't drive in the rain unless I get caught in it. (most people in Florida can't drive in the rain, or when it's not raining for that matter) And, I've come to realize that 55 degrees is my limit with the top down, less than that and I freeze to death even with the heat on.

Re: Winter blues!!

yes we got some crappy snow, but down here it gets warm enough so it turns to ice and then we have all sorts of fun issues.

Re: Winter blues!!

Oh my snow turning to ICE is indeed a challenge that only snow tires with studs in or chains on the tires can fix or road salt and time !! hope it melts soon for you as i envy your normal 50 to 60 deg F daytime temps but you can keep the 95 deg F days and 95% humidity summer time yup i'm a wuss (better melts doncha know) LOL
