MAF Sensor

I was wondering if a mass air flow sensor is a good purchase for a cold air intake and a tune to allow more air into the engine for more hp. And about how much hp would it add?

If your putting they mass air on with the cold air you'll probably get 20 to 25 hp. If u already have the cold air on u will get about 10 to 15, but that mass air will make your car respond so much better over stock. When u put it on make sure u have no leaks or it will run awful. If you put it on and it idles rough you have a leak.

No sense the cold air is already on it will only give 10 to 15 more depending on other mods. But it will make your care respond so much better.

Re: MAF Sensor

for the 94-04 Mustangs the stock MAF is fine on anywhere near stock, it wont help any. Leave whats on there alone. When going up to the 4.0L in 05+ I highly doubt it will help them either.

When I had a 95 and a 2000 I put C&L on. They will help over stock, just take your air filter off and look at you stock maf, it will have a bar going down the middle of it. That is resistance thereafter market maf don't have that. Just don't get it to big, only go a few mm over stock.

I have not seen one but there is a SCT on americanmuscle.com. Who ever you order one from make sure u ask them if it will work on a mostly stock mustang unless u have done some serious mods.

Ya I will but it's 275. I think that's pretty expensive for just a sensor. That's why I was seeing if there was a cheaper one.

Re: MAF Sensor

MAF sensor's were good upgrades on the old 5.0's i put a Pro-m on my mach 1 it made the throttle response a little crisper ..... not sure what they'd do for the newer cars ???

I don't know, but your right they are expensive. Not much bang for the buck unless you've done some crazy mods.
