Congrats and welcome! To answer your question, I have always preferred cold air to short ram. The short ram tends to pull in warmer air from the engine compartment. CAI sucks cooler air from the fender! Just my .02

I'd love to supercharged it (if only I had the money) but thanks I'll look into short air.

Re: 08 v6

I bought my daughter an 08 V6, manual. The first thing i did was shorty headers. got unbranded stainless steel on Ebay for $78.00. Made an massive difference. I did not tell her that i had done it, she drove the car came home and asked ( what did you do to my car) . Then i pickup factory Bullitt mufflers and exhaust pipes for $200.00 and a pipes Xpipe for $99.00. Very easy do it yourself job! it sounds better than a stock GT. Cold air is a waste of money unless you get a used cheep unit. A set of 3:73 gears will make it come alive for $300.00
