Tint

Tinted my 08 GT today. 35% all around...no strip on the wind shield.
I just need to steer clear of the police...I think the front is too dark for VA law. Looks great though. Now for some quarter window louvers...next month though. The tint cost 200 bucks plus a coach purse and some shoes to keep the wife happy! Man...those springs and wheels are gonna cost me...lol!

Check and see about a presrciption for your tint. If you've got any medical reasons.

I had 20% put on mine (legal limit was 35%) never had any issues until they got tired of seeing me (in a local speed trap) every time not doing anything wrong speed wise lol... it sucked I had to pay to have it redone so good though on doing it right the first time.

Springs are cheap 250 bucks and you can install them yourself with the help from a friend in 2-3 hours. I just did a set the other night, nothing to them.

Lmao, not used to the mod edit option. sorry, brandon.

Yeah, I had to go through a DUI checkpoint and they tore my car apart and were checking my tint all around and analyzing my tail lights, looking under the car. I didn't do anything wrong.

$220 for carbon tint. About $160 for the regular tint...

Side by side the carbon looks better and seems a little darker...

Re: Tint

NC is gay:

NO front window tint
Non reflective tint on sides in back and must let 35% of the light in....

Re: Tint

I went with a 5% all around. Pain to drive at night, but with the black paint, it looks amazing. Haven't had any trouble with the law. Driven past locals, troopers, and sheriffs. Nothing. Guess I've been lucky so far.

Are you in VA? I was at the store last night and there were two cops talking next to my mustang...I thought they were going to ask me about the tint but I opened my door and drove off without ant issues. I am still kind of nervous...if I am next to a car with 50%, mine looks real dark...

Re: Tint

No, I'm out in WA. 35% is the limit here, but I had 15% for two years before that, so I figured it's not a big deal here.

Re: Tint

I went 15% all the way on mine including the rear glass with a vynl strip in the rear. I also tinted my front windshield... I only got in trouble when I got pulled over for other reasons.

Bro you need to get 5% all around it keeps the car cool inside, the interior lasts longer (if you have leather seats), and no one can see you. Only con is driving at night sucks.

Yeah, too bad I don't believe in following a law that lets cops do it, but i don't like big brother telling me what I can do with my things since I'm the one that paid for it and insure it, so I'm blacked out all over!!
