Crank pulley

Any advice on removing the crank pulley on an 08 V6 mustang? Any help I appreciated.... Also do not have a pulley puller any way around using one?

If you dont have one, my suggestion would be to run down to your local auto parts store and "rent" one. They should have tools you can put a deposit on to use, and then when you are done with it, you take it back and get your deposit!

some cars the crank pulley is not made into the harmonic balancer so you can just unbolt it easy enough~ see if thats the case for you

No of course not it's never that easy for me lol... A friend had the puller kit and the install kit came with it so I'll get it done this weekend

you may need an impact to get her off, also note they probably use lock tite of some form when going back on.

finally you MUST tq the new one to the right specs or it can cause CEL's and other bad things.

Lol prolly not the best method but I used a torque bar and wedged it against my suspension and unplugged my coils so it wouldn't start and then turned the engine over and it broke it loose lol

Ha Ha, I did that when I replaced the timing belt on my Contour, definitely works in a pinch!!
