Re: Mods

you will need a tune for nearly all CAI kits for 05+ GT mustangs so if you dont have one make that your top priority (as it may not be safe currently to drive if it doesnt have a tune)

CAI
under drive pulleys
Exhasut
Tune
alum drive shaft

those will all help out

I agree with the tune but I would install a twin 62mm throttle body first. Huge difference in acceleration.

Re: Mods

im not sure how those work some say they see noticable gains with good headers on their 05+ gt but I personally do not know. The car could be unsafe (a/f to lean etc) and could have issues or major issues so until you tune it I would consider putting the OEM intake back on or making sure the mauf of the intake says its ok to not have a tune when using it.

I had an '05 and I did a full exhaust as well as the throttle body. With the exhaust the only noticeable difference was the sound. When I installed the bbk throttle body I could feel a quicker acceleration which only adds to your CAI and tune. Plus the throttle body is cheaper and alot easier to install if money and time are an issue.

Re: Mods

if the intake said it didnt require a tune you are probably fine, just wanted you to double check to keep the car safe is all.

Shorty headers are a waste of money....the stock manifolds flow great only to be outdone by long tubes ...Spector pretty much has the nail hit on the head up there...and I noticed my car revved alot quicker after I installed an accufab tb....bbk is hit or miss...they are cheap for a reason

Re: Mods

There's plenty of things that you can do, it's all just about how much money you want to / can spend. You've already got the gears, CAI, and axle back. If you're gonna spend money on headers, save for the long tubes. An off-road h or x-pipe will help out with gains also, but then you run into emission problems if you have emissions in your area. The TB is a great way to go... and there are plenty out there. There's one company L and M I think it is that has larger TB's that don't require a tune. Something to look into. A turner is a must though to get the full potential out of your combination. Ford leaves a lot on the table with their conservative factory tunes. Hope this helps.

Re: Mods

To make power you should replace your current CAI with one that requires a Tune, You need to get more air in the engine if you plan on a TB, or LT headers. As far as TB's go Ford racing 62mm for $600.00, or BBR's GT500 TB kit 60mm, for $340.00, what ever fits your pocket book
