Re: X pipe

Not if it's a V8!
I prefer the H pipe though. It's a personal preference thing really, I don't know if one really gives a power gain over the other, if anything the X pipe probably would.

Re: X pipe

Are you changing the entire exhaust or just the mid pipe?

Re: X pipe

What axlebacks are you going with? X pipes sound better with straight mufflers like stingers and magnapacks and H pipes sound good with chambered like macs and flowsmasters; however, H pipes also good with straight through but chambered axlebacks tend to sound a little raspy with x pipes especially o/r x.

Ya I think there chambered too. I'm with you on this because I don't know whether to get an x or h pipe right now. I have American thunder axle backs and have watched a lot of videos but its still hard to find which setup I want because I don't want to waste my money and have it done and then I don't like the sound.

O/R X with flows sounds really raspy, especially at higher RPMs. I do know someone with flows and catted x and it sounds good. It's a little higher pitched than the stock catted H but it's louder and it still has a nice throaty tone. O/R H and flows do sound better though.

Re: X pipe

The x-pipe gives more hp and the H-pipe gives more torque. The is how is was explained to me by American Muscle when I was looking for mine.

Ya im thinking about getting the pypes mid muffler system. It sounds pretty good. I'm thinkin about taking off the flowmasters and getting that. Cuz the flowmasters aren't enough.
