What do you guys think?

Should I go with a set of steeda underdrive pulleys and bbk throttle body first or catback exhaust? I already have flowmasters so exhaust could wait.

Re: What do you guys think?

if you already have exhaust I'd wait and do the pulley's. Save up and do the midpipe and exhaust at the same time. H pipe deeper noise, X pipe more rasping but a 2-3 more hp. You can do a straight thru muffler if you don't mind it being loud as hell and don't wanna spring for the catback

Re: What do you guys think?

I just put a set of UD pullies on my vert the other night. I haven't upgraded my TB yet, but that's on the way.
I'd do the pullies. Cheap, easy mod that will net you a few ponies.

You should see the size of my crank pulley. 6lb lower. That thing is huge.

Ya when I do exhaust idk whether to do catbacks first or an x or h midpipe. Because I like the sound of the h pipe. Is an h pipe without cats a huge difference vs the the stock h pipe?

Re: What do you guys think?

I think the first big step is cai/tune but you want the tune done after the bolt ons~ a steeda UDP is a good mod for the money no doubt. The throttle body probably wont help much of anything.

also look into an aluminum driveshaft (expensive) but they help when you start to run out of the cheaper mods.

I'll probably do a aluminum driveshaft after I finish the smaller mods. Is the aluminum driveshaft that much better than stock?

It lightens up the rotating assembly which will save you a minute amount of fuel and the car will rev a little bit quicker. But you will be shedding weight which is a good thing

It's definitely lighter than the stock piece. Weight on a car will slow you down. Weight that actually moves, like the driveshaft, and also wheels, will slow you down even more. The light driveshaft should free up a few hp, just because of the lighter weight. Less parasitic loss through the drivetrain.

Mostly just lighter. But I've never heard of anyone ripping one apart.

I invested the grand I'n a dynatech aluminum 1pc. No vibrations, and at 19lbs it is the lightest I've found, rated to 900hp, tested I'n excess of 1100hp. I'm very happy with it, ford wasn't thinking when they went to the 2pc shaft and what 56+ pounds. I'n my book a good balanced alum 1pc is the way to go regardless your choice of mfg.
