Will under-drive pulleys benefit my 08 gt? Or would it just be a waste of cash?

I had them. I think they are over rated. All I noticed was a low charging rate at idle

What kind did you have? Was it the crack pulley alone or water pump and alt pulley also?

If I remember right steeds says 10 hp. And that comes from less rotating mass I'm sure which in turn means better throttle response.

It's minimal power gain. For the price of those pullys you can get other things that help more like a tuner. Or nice sounding exhaust. I just didn't feel like it was worth the money for what it did. Plus on mine the headlights would dim at idle

Your headlights most likely dimmed because you were underdriving your alternator too. The Steeda kit I had did not and therefore did not dim the lights. I thought they were worth it due to an increase in HP although small and a slightly better response to revving the engine. To each their own I guess.

Mine was crank only pulley it's ok I guess I just think the money is better spent elswhere. Kind of like cold air intakes. I think it's over hyped for the cost

I hear ya. Mine came off to install a Whipple SC but if I were to do it again I would still do underdrives. When you compare $1,200 - $1,400 for LT headers and X/H pipe to gain 30 HP then $200 - $250 for 10 HP isn't bad.

Re: UDP

I had them on my 05 until I put the b;ower on. They may not give you more HP but it sure helps spin up the engine faster. Also in the 1 year + I had them I never had any charging issues nor did the headlights dim at idle. Get the Steeda ones, you won't regret it unless you'll plan to put a blower on down the road in which case you cant use them (unless it a Roush TVS).

if im going for horsepower im going big. im getting cams, supercharger, turbo. something that is going to make a for sure difference. after you spend several grand on all the little crap. you would have enough for something that will make real power. my theory.

I'm with you. I did a couple little things then decided I would stop doing small things and save for a supercharger. Took a while but was well worth it once I got my procharger
