Flow master american thunder

Hey guys just a question about my first exhaust I'm gonna get. I was going to buy the pype bombs for my mustang GT(235$) , but then my friend said he would sell me his flowmaster American thunder for 100 dollars. What do you think is better deal , he used the flows for a week then got the pype bombs. I want it to be louder than stock and definatly heard when I get on the gas

Idk. I've heard flowmaster 40s on one gt and didn't quite like the tone. And haven't heard pipe bombs. Are that glasspacks?

All I really know is that pype bombs are muffler deletes while the flows have mufflers.

If you want to be heard, that'll work. I've had Flowmasters on my old Exploder - great sound outside and lots of drone inside. I guess for $100, if you don't like them, you should be able to resell them and get your money back as long as they're in good shape.

I just got the flowmaster AT, I love it. The sound is just perfect for me, not too loud and definitely louder then my Bullits.

So it's louder than stock? Like a little or a lot?

I have the Flowmaster ATs as well. They are louder than stock but not like really loud. They sound good too and there isn't hardly any drone.

Mufflers are super easy to change on our cars, you can do it in about 15 minutes a side... You need to change yours, you'll love it.. Just don't go too loud, the drone will get old fast... Here's some good ones...

Well I had the bullitt mufflers, which are a bit louder then the stock ones... To me it's a lot louder. Specially after 3-4k rpm. Personally I wouldn't want any louder then this.

Ya I agree. I think they sound good. I'm about to do LT's and x pipe so I think it will sound pretty good after that.

Do you think with the LTs and x pipe with the flowmasters will still sound good? Cuz I've heard with the x they don't sound as good and are a little raspy. I was thinking of changing the flows and getting Borla stingers cuz I like the sound but if the flows still sound good after the LTs and x pipe then I'll just leave them.

I have the Pypes bomb axle backs...they are definitely loud...but not bad on the highway. A nice growl at idle and a roar during acceleration.

I want the pype bombs loudness but the American thunder is 100$ and not nearly as loud as the pype bombs . I'm debating because those are 135 less... Help me decide!!!

Yeah I've heard that it's insane, way louder than the pype bombs. Take me through the taking off cats process and what exactly are they and where are they located
