X-Pipes In Cali?

Hey does anyone know if X-pipes are legal in Cali?

I'm pretty sure they are as long as they are catted. But I have heard of people smoging cars without them.

We put a Ford Racing X-pipe on my son's 2006 Roush- it is perfectly legal here in Commiefornia, since the cats were untouched. Made the car sound really raspy.

Yes catted x's are legal about everywhere, but offroad are illegal about everywhere.

Aww really i wanted to get BBK ceramic longtube headers with a shorty BBK off road x-pipe? I currently have super 44 flowmasters but thats not really doing it for me. It doea sound louder than stock but i want a more aggresive tone

The x pipe creates a raspy sound I think you would like the aftermarket H pipe better.

My son's '06 is stupid loud- has the Ford Racing X-pipe, stock cats, and single chamber Flowmasters. He sets off alarms for blocks, and there always seems to be CHP patrol car nearby. My son loves it!

Well you get what you pay for, so I would say kooks for headers and you'll have to research what mid pipe will fit best with your combo.
