Both are good. I would go on AmericanMuscle.com and check out their exhaust clips unless you have already.

Borla exhaust makes a deeper sound than the bassani if it helps any.

I have Pypes muffler deletes and they sound amazing. Not sure if they will be too loud if I do any more exhaust work though.

FRPP Borla Stingers on mine, nice deep tone at idle, aggressive sounding when you get on it, IMO what a Mustang should sound like when it leaves the factory.

I just went with Ford Racing Stingers. Same as the Borlas. Recommend finding a local Mustang club and see if someone has them on their car so you can check them out. I had a guy take me for a ride in his. It sold me on them. The club I joined has a deal with the local Ford dealer so I saved a few dollars as well.

Borlas have 2 types of mufflers (that I know of anyways) for our S197s - the aggressive stingers and the mellow S-type mufflers. Both are improvements over stock for sound and flow, both are lighter that stock, and both are stainless steel with a great warranty. I went with the mellow ones, they dubbed touring mufflers. They have a nice low rumble around town and in the car (no drone). But open up the throttle and they bark. I'm past the loud pipes days, technology has improved since my days of running cherry bombs. Its also my daily driver and do like to be able to hear my music without the volume blasting.

Great point Murph, alot people focus on what the exhaust sounds like on the outside, then when they get them on its horrible in the cabin. I'm also past the loud pipes (dont get me wrong,I love a cammed loud beast) for my ride and exhaust has come a long way so you can find something that screams when you want it to,not 24/7.I would have to agree with a previous poster that said find a local club, take a listen and ask for a ride to find the combo that suits you best.

Good luck!
