Gt500 bumper on a GT

Will 07 GT500 front and rear bumpers fit on an 07 GT? I know it was Shelby, not Ford, making the GT500s at that point so I wasn't sure if they'd match up

All parts are at your local dealers parts dept. Gt500 were made by Ford, not Shelby. Shelby only approved the parts.

ford makes the shelby GT500, shelby has pretty much nothing to do with it, its all OEM ford FYI.

My friend did the conversion and posts on here (name is CutterWolf) you can PM him and get the details but it can be done, just requires a few parts for the front like headlights, hood, grill, and such to get it all to fit. The rear is just the bumper.

And it will cost nowhere close to 3k. I got the rear bumper cover for 3 hundred something from Tasca Ford.

You got a rear bumper cover, there is a little more to it than that. Lights, fogs, bumper supports ect...hopefully he can get it all for under $3k. I'm going off what I have seen someone else do for.

Re: Gt500 bumper on a GT

I looked at doing this as well a while back. Pricing everything threw ford/newtakeoff/other places parts alone was going to cost me about 2300. Still had to paint everything and put it on. Its great if you have the time to put all on your self. But I don't.

This is exactly why I was saying the cost was around 3k. You are gonna have to factor in paint as well. Hopefully you will be able to do the install on your own.

Guess it's all about interpretation. I read it as he wants to change the bumper covers only.

But yes,Spec is right, you can't just change the bumper cover. You have to change all the lights and whatnot.

dimo, here is the deal with hoods. "Yes" and GT hood "will" match up on a GT500 front end with no issues. However a GT500 hood "will not" match up on a GT front end with out leaving a gap between the hood and upper grill.

Ninjasteffers, Thank you for the nice comments about my car. I am always glad to hear that she has inspired others
