If they say the tune cause the problem yes it will. But don't tell them you tuned it. And take the tune off of it before you take it in.

Re: Check engine light?

do you have a tune, because if you have an intake and no tune that might be the reason the light is on to begin with.

Re: Check engine light?

If you have a tuner, just read the code yourself and leave the dealer out of it. Then post the code up here and we can direct you to the cause.

Re: Check engine light?

When did you install the intake and the tune in relation to the CEL coming on?

Check your intake for any leaks. Make sure all connections are snug and no gaps. Check your mass air meter to make sure it isn't dirty. It could have gotten fouled up from the new filter on your intake kit if it was an oil based filter. You can get electrical cleaner to clean it up to make sure it doesn't have oil on it.

Re: Check engine light?

You should be able to clear the codes and start from scratch. Just make sure that all hoses and connections are hooked up and snug. A vacuum line might be loose. It could have worked it's way off over the 3 weeks because it wasn't attached fully. Or one of the connection points of the intake tubing could have done the same. Just make sure everything is completely snug.

It would probably be good to put clamps on there. But that's just A breather tube. What tune do you have it on? Race performance or regular....

I had a steeda cai on mine and I don't believe I had a carb sticker. The headers will be legall as long as they have a spot for the o2 sensors.

You just have to get a catted x pipe. I like the H pipe sound my self. I had a muffler delete without tail pipes it just dumped after the axle. Loved the sound.

Work experience is gonna do more for you than school will. I know a few people that went to school to be mechanics and came back with less than what that had goin in.
