If you want a really raspy sound then go for it. I have LTs with the kooks catted x and AT's and it has a slight rasp to it but it's not nearly as raspy as having no cats. I was gunna change the flowmasters but after a while I actually like the sound.

Ya the ATs are louder than stock. I had just the ATs at first and after I put them on I could tell a difference especially when you get on it. At just idle it's not really louder maybe a little bit but it's more noticeable at higher rpms. With the offroad x it will be pretty loud but you might not like the sound too much. If you go on YouTube you can get an idea too and see how you like it.

I have 1 5/8 shorty headers off road x-pipe with 2 chamber flows. I think 40 series. Let me tell you it is LOUD. Is your motor stock? I have aluminum heads and a s/c so I believe that'll make it even louder. X-pipe gives you more of a NASCAR type sound "raspy" if you want more of a muscle tone get a h-pipe

It's more personal preference. The setup I have listed above is loud. Depending on your budget there are various manufacturers for each item. Also ask around if you go to any mustang meets. Nothing sounds better than hearing it in person.

I paid 500 at my local exhaust shop. But that was for exhaust and new 2.5 pipe from headers back and my 4 inch tips my xpipe was 200. If you just get the mufflers swapped out it should be around 200.

This is a video of the best sounding 3V I've heard so far.
But will cost well over $300.00 though especially if u get somebody else to install it for u.
