Re: Bolt on RWHP

Full bolt on is a pretty wide range from person to person.

+1... and even if you wanted 500hp na, you'll have to completely rebuild it, stroke it, ridiculously aggressive cam, headwork, and a good tune... Or you could just go supercharger or turbo... And the forced induction would be cheaper.

Ya the stock block and internals have no problem with 450-500hp but it'll need about 8 psi -10psi boost

I'm at 315ish rwhp with bolt-ons. That include intake man + heads. And it's tuned aggressive. That's with a 96. On a 05+ I'd say 330 maybe 340 with a super aggressive tune.

your cars motor wont even handle 500rwhp, it would have to be built.. I mean it would take it for a bit but not for long. About 450 is the limit for a daily driver if its tuned good and not beat on every day. That will take more than bolt ons for sure

I have all bolt ons and the most efficient bolt ons C&L racer intake pypes long tubes no cats mufflers aluminum drive shaft a email tune no cams or pulleys but everyone know they are not going to make huge power and I make 309 at the wheels not a good tune I am saving up for a Kenny bell blower and the stock block will only hold 465 rwh and 10psi boost I have seen guys run 11-12 but your taking a chance on breaking the motor so stick with 10psi just my research

Re: Bolt on RWHP

There are pleanty of 3V making 500 WHP and maintaining it just fine. Me myself would not push it that far but like I said there are a ton who do and have been for a long time. Full bolt on with cams can get you 360WHP but bolt on means different things to different people. Some people consider a blower a bolt on mod.

Nah bolt on it no power adders blower turbo nitrous cams don't make a lot of power and I am going blower so I don't need cams but 500hp that is push on the ragged edge I have big accounts with lethal and evolution and they say 2 words "time bomb" but I am in Texas and our air sucks so that is a big issue as well but when I get my blower I am going to push 10psi and make some were around 460 just a question can the stock transmission hold 500hp assuming he races his car at the drag strip

The tranny will be fine but the clutch will need to be upgraded for sure.

The trans will not hold. The stock input shaft is only rated at 400-430 flywheel hp. I learned the hard way. It's a 10 spline shaft but you can up grade to a 26 spline shaft. Just some info I would like to share. You can find the shafts at promotionperformance.com.

There is the 26spline shaft. That line goes from your slave cylinder to your clutch master. Promotion has proved that the factory line is restrictive. So just some more research that I wanted to share
