I doubt you'll find legal ones. I can't even find some on my 2010. I doubt you'll get pulled over unless ur really stomping on it. What part of Cali do you live?

They have legal intakes which have super small filters which i guess will pass smog and throttle body if you read the box says not for use in emission restrictive states and for headers der are some with carb stickers but they are really super expensive and wont do much as performance gain yea i guess u could pass smog if you took it off everytime but dats to much work would rather pay 250 an have them run it illegal with like a hoda civic

I would pay more to make my car pass smog illegally. You only do it so often.

If a vehicle requires a tune for a part I doubt it's legal

True but a car Wudnt run correctly without it that's y it needs it. When I got my JLT CAI my tuner Wudnt turn on because it was defective. I waited for Bama performance to send me a new one. I turned my car on to see how it wud sound & it was like if I had camshafts when I really didnt. lol

Re: Headers in cali

Long tube headers are not legal in CA, some short tubes are. Any thing you add to the engine or exhaust must be CARB, have sticker and ID number. BIG !!! fines if you get caught( buy cops or at inspection )

Looks good! The only thing I'd change is, I'd try to find a different way to support it. Possibly something that couldn't be seen! Looks really
Nice though!!

---------- Post added at 10:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:28 PM ----------

also yeah is verry eazy to make one whithout paying over a hundreat dollars like for the cobras,bullitts,mach1's all u need is a oval coupler for the trouttle to a 90*4"tubing then a coupler to MAF and MAF adapter to a 8 to 9" filter also whit 4"inlet, to cover all the way to headlight i had one k&n but i sold it for gas money and got that small filter i got now . total spend was around 90 whit the 30 spectre filter but if i still will have the big k&n itwould be 120

Not my bubble, I don't live in Cali. But JBL makes LT headers for the S197 and they have a CARB plate with ID number welded to them. It was my understanding that you could use them in Cali
