2006 gt

Is the 2006 mustang gt a 2v, 3v, or 4v?

Trying to help a friend out, he's not very mechanically inclined, and I've never messed with the new 4.6s

Any help will be appreciated.

Appreciate it.

So when you put new cams in do you have to get new lash adjusters and timing chains?
Or what all is needed?

Don't know about that...I'm actually looking to get some cams in the near future but the ones I've looked at and read about they don't seem to need anything cause i just gonna go with some mild cams

Yea that's what my buddy wants to do, and I'm not very familiar with the newer 4.6s. So I was hoping someone could lend me some knowledge and experience.

Safe Upgrade. These Hot Rod Performance Camshafts were engineered by the same Ford designers of the stock cams to provide the most powerful cams available that are safe with the stock production valve train of your 2005-2010 GT. The Hot Rod Performance Cams are compatible with production springs, followers, and lash adjusters up to 6800rpm.

I copied that off of American muscle website
