Have u gotta tune yet? I just installed can SCT tune and it's a huge diff. You might consider before an intake and it's cheaper.

louvers will run you around 100-200 (painted) or so, depending on the style you want.

CAI with a tuner (you MUST have a tune to install a CAI on these cars)

new will run around 400-550 (for both tuner and CAI) and depending on brand of course

used around 300-400 or so for a set (if you can find one)

I just found a JLT with (unlocked) SCT tuner for $200!! put it on the car last night.

the tuner MUST be unlocked. if you buy used MAKE sure it is.. or you will be sending it to SCT (or whatever model you buy) WITH $150 for them to unlock it.

Re: Stuff

with a good CAI comes a tune, and its required for 05+. Some intakes dont require a tune... well that basically means they dont work as good as those that do

Maybe I am wrong, but they (CAI without tune) wouldnt work at all would they? CPU doesnt tell it to suck in more air, so whats the difference between a stock intake and an intake that doesnt require a tune?

W my experience w mustangs (owned 5) cai do not produce a sound... Other than a sucking noise when you first hit the throttle. IMO the best sounding cai I've ever had was a ingen (sp?) on a 2004 nissan sentra spec v.... At 4k rpms it would open up due to variable valve timing... Man it sounded good! So don't choose a cai based on sound for a Stang
