Steering vibration/shimmy

07 GT; In the morning when the engine is cold, I get a vibration in the steering wheel for about 2-3 miles then it seems normal the rest of the day. It's worse when he temp is low, yesterday in the low 30's and it was worse, but never again all day. Any ideas?

Your tires are probably just frozen from sitting

I know in the single digits the tires them selfs stiffen or maybe you have moisture in the tire

Could be. I didn't think about tires, I was focused on steering. The tires are on their last bit of tread also.

Anything else that would cause steering wheel vibration wouldn't go away

No snow down here. But I did check font tires and uneven wear on inside. Time for tires and alignment. Thanks for pointing to tires.
