Slight Hesitation @2800-3000

I don't think it's my imagination, but there seems to be a slight hesitation around 2800-3000. It's strange. My setup is 07 GT, CAI, SCT - 93 tune, Flowmaster 40's and Steeda LCA's and I really need new tires, but I don't think that's the problem. I've noticed it since the tune. Could it be a tune error?

Yeah it could be, I would update your tuner, the retune the car.. Won't hurt to try.. And its free! Lol

Also clean throttle body and IAC.. You never know with those things

can you feel it when you apply full throttle at 1500-2000 rpm through to say 5000 rpm? or does it just stumble when trying to cruise at 2800-3000 ?

It's during acceleration. When I feel it I look at the tach and it's just going past 3k. It's fine when cruising.

I had the exact same proble but I'm supercharged... the exact cause of my problem was my charge motion plates they open and close between 2800-3000 rpm so I disassembled my stock charge motion plates and put aluminum round stock and tig welded them in... My hesitation went right away... check out the steeds motion delete plates... it is what cured it for me

That makes sense. I was planning on getting a FRPP intake in the future, which would eliminate the plates and save $200 on delete plates. Then I'll be able to replace cams and TB and actually get some HP out of them. I'd love to go SC, but that's not in the budget.

But maybe deletes are a good short term solution and gain a little HP also.

I would think it's a little carbon build up before it would be tune error.

contact your tuner and get data logs in that range when it does it (if you can recreate) they can look and see whats up. They may send you something that tells you what to log also.

can you data log you mass air flow voltage and your rpm ?
if so data log the two and see if you have major fluctuation beyond .0x at your problem rpm,as your rpm goes up your mass air flow voltage should do the same and not drop to a lower voltage at a higher rpm.

I have an SCT tuner, I pretty sure that you can data log those. But I'll have to check. Thanks.
