Noise

When going over speed bumps or shifting a little off the right rpm causes a knocking noise in the back of the car ? What could this be and should i be worried it still drives perfect

How many miles do you have on the car? Did you just start to notice this?

What do you mean shift a little off? I assume you're not bottoming out. It sounds like its drive train related, since it's when you shift funny and driving over a speed bump can cause you to use the clutch differently when easing over the bump.

Is it like a metal clanking noise when the car bounces or does it sound like something bouncing in your boot

Could be your drivetrain catching back up to your motor/vise versa. My buddies 4runner does it all the time as he kinda isn't the greatest at shifting it and it's a little timid and likes to be carressed lol.

But mine makes. Clunk sometimes shifting into 5th at a lower speed and rpm. Totally normal if that's the noise your hearing.

Re: Noise

Does it knock a couple of times and then stop? Or stop after accelerating?

Since your car has low mileage , this sound is not related to normal wear. It is likely the normal play in the drive train.

I had a knock/clunk from the rear end (auto transmission) while driving over bumps and it turned out to be rear stabilizer link. You can crawl under and give her a wiggle, there should be zero play there.
I had to go over really sharp bumps to make it happen, like the rear end had to rattle a bit. At first I thought a bit of noise was normal but after the repair it is so nice and quiet!!
