In due time get through college. You want something faster, you don't need something faster.. (ha ha)

Take it from someone who has been there done that: I wont write my autobiography here but, a short summary of what I would do over, if we could reverse time.

I should've looked at and drove a Newedge GT (00-04), compared to this car. Especially an 03 that I found with 40K for around $14,000 that would've left me with roughly $3,000 in my pocket.

Instead, I was so bent on having an S197, I over stretched my self and ended up putting $11,000 down on this and financing something like $7,000. 4 years later I'm still in college and have to bust my butt to pay it off every month.

So moral of the story, keep what you have and enjoy college. You will enjoy not being broke.

Gt will probably be cheaper on the insurance but drive both I test drove a Evo and loved it but it was sold before I could try to haggle on price and now I have a gt there two totally different machines and I would never put a Evo in the same category as "rice" race inspired cosmetic effects.

Honestly Evos are big piles of *****, they are fast but don't last long when driven fast, I've seen 8 or 10 blow the transfer case on the strip and street

Get the car you want now, before you get married and have kids. Pay it off and then don't trade it in on a new every 3-4 years, just keep modding and enjoying it. Hang on to it. There are too many parts and upgrades you can keep them fresh and badass forever. These 05 and up mustangs are the birth of the modern muscle car era. In 25 years people will looking for these like they are the first 64-70 models.

And for goodness sake don't sell it when you have a kid, they friggin fit in the back!! You have 11 years to save up for something they will fit in better! EVERYONE refrets selling their mustang (unless they got a better one like a GT).
Keep the v6 untill ur out of college k.

In the end an EVO is a Mitsubishi... Very poor overall quality.. 'Fast while they last' comes to mind

00-04 gts are slow? They arent as slow as you think. They can do way better than high 13s. This kid was running almost mid 12s in his 04 gt with longtubes, intake, plenum, TB. Stock suspension, lowered and 4:10s

Not in my experience, I know a lot of people with evos, lancers, galexies, and no complaints. The only thing I don't like is how they are cramped and hard to work on.

Re: new car

your Link didnt work but heres some others

2003 Vortech Mustang GT 1/4 mile - YouTube

2003 Mustang GT (bolt-ons) vs. Lexus IS300 Turbocharged - 1/4 mile - YouTube

2003 Mustang GT bolt-ons 1/4 mile track - YouTube

2003 gt mustang 1/4 mile drag - YouTube

I could prove this all day, 2Vs cant keep up especially now with almost ever car with a V6 making 300+ hp..... 3V are only marginally better tho think how we feel compared to the new 5.0s

Im not saying theyre faster than most cars on the road im just simply proving you wrong when you say that with mods they can only run 13s when this kid can run a 12.77 in his. This is what the video is called N/A bolton GT: quest for 12's. And there is your proof they can do better than high 13s.
