Go to a muffler shop and have then cut off your stock mufflers and replace them with chrome slash cuts or reuse your stock tips, probably 80 to use stock tips and 120ish for aftermarket tips, exhaust sounds the best that way

Check out YouTube videos for your preferred sound..

Pypes pype bombs and JBA give great sound for around 300 or so..

When I was putting the stock midpipe back on the car for inspection. I started the car up with just stock exhaust manifolds. HOLY HELL. it was stupid loud and sounded like a true racecar. You could buy an offroad midpipe and just weld dumps on it. Cost most 130$ and I guarantee you will have the loudest mustang in your town.

Don't do the off road mid pipe with dumps haha but ya it's like 80 bucks at a muffler shop, have them cut of the pipe that clamps to the rest of the exhaust so u can throw aftermarket mufflers on if you decide to get headers or an off road mid pipe

Lol agreed I never understood why folks spend hundreds on pipe lol... And I think it sounds horrible btw... I prefer some sort of tone... Not noise like GM vehicles

Re: Exhaust suggestions

I got pype bombs for my 07 GT a year or so ago and they look awesome and sound awesome as well. Compliments from everyone who has seen and heard them.

Are pretty loud at high idle and when you get on it - enough to make heads turn but not enough to get pulled over (I have otherwise stock exhaust). If you take off slow and upshift early then it can be about as quiet as the stock.

They were easy to install myself on jack stands and even lined up better in the cutouts than the stock that was on it.

Despite being the cheapest option I found they are good quality stainless that stays 100% rust free (so far) and I am very happy with them.

Did you feel any power increase with shorty headers? I heard that you only get power out of long tubes?

Re: Exhaust suggestions

I got mine from Brenspeed. They were actually shipped direct from pypes in PA and I got them here in CT 3 days after placing my order via ups ground. I paid a bit under $260 - including the shipping. I think american muscle would also be a good choice for vendor and only a little more on total price.

Just to be clear - I only replaced the stock mufflers with the pype bombs (muffler deletes) and my exhaust is otherwise stock. I wanted louder exhaust and nicer looking tips and these gave it to my 100% satisfaction. They also look much better than simply rolled tips that you see on many aftermarket mufflers.

There is no performance gain from them. From what I've read, I believe you have to replace the entire exhaust, including getting long tube headers, if you want actual performance gains that will make any noticable difference.

Well you have already purchased them. So our comments will be meaningless lol. But none the less, I've heard very positive comments about the exhaust. Are you wanting to pair it to an o/r midpipe?
