Re: Supercharger

It's not cheap, it's gonna cost you some change, but goodluck with that idea.

If you're doing it yourself, that's about 9-10k. So you might as well drop in some cams, but it'll be badass.

Re: Supercharger

I haven't seen any deals, none on Whipple, but don't forget the Cost also, on the installation on it, that's a piece of change also.

Supercharger is easy to install, might get tricky running the plumbing, like removing the front bumper and stuff but it's all straight forward

So why do shops charge you a Arm and a Leg to do it? Is it just because of the Labor to do it?

Ask a shop to do a tune up and they want like 200 dollars labor, most shops charge 100 dollars an hour book time, and performance shop probably charge more, don't be confused, price doesn't always equal difficulty

I hear ya on that. I got a Tuneup coming soon too, and my Performance shop, has a price that's up there a little bit, but since they are the one's that did my HP "Tune", I'm not complaining, but DAM.

Re: Supercharger

The Edelbrock SC comes with a Diablo programmer. Can you adjust for a SC using the SCT or will they have to send you a custom SCT tune?

I would personally go with a dyno tune, intake and what not are easy to tune for, but forced induction you need that to be perfect or you could do some serious damage

I personally agree with BaSohol, "Aggiesrok". Those little Tuners can do a whole LOT of stuff in tuning, but you need the Expertise to do it correct, too many details. With a dyno tune, the Tuner will get ALL the details of your specific car, and adjust and Tune correct for the Best Performance.

Dont look past forging your bottom end. Once you start adding some nice boost and have them guys hanging onto your pistons start singing, one of them sooner or later is going to run out of breath.
