Something else to think about is the effects of the spoiler. Its supposed to add stability at higher speeds while at the same time it slightly reduces fuel economy and power. As to the actuall effectiveness of the stock spoiler, I don't know.

The stock Spoilers are just there for looks!.. They really serve no other purpose!..

Personally I am a fan of spoilers!.. But I have seen a few without that I also liked!.. Just depends on the over all look of the car!..

Kinda figured; they don't look very useful.
And I agree, someone stated above that it depends on the mustang and I think that was the best comment so far.

He obviously thinks its so cool the way he drives it and how he parks out in the midle of nowhere at albertsons. It could be the next viral video on youtube lol

My buddy's early 05 spoiler delete. Fingers crossed I can pick it up from him when the time comes for him to get the Focus ST. ~50k on it garage kept, meticulously maintained.

Re: Spoiler delete haters

Depends on the look you are going for and I must say I love em all, even the extreme ones but in my case I figure I ain't drivin no tuner that needs a wing to make up for a lack of cylinders. I like the clean, no drag coefficient, spoiler free look myself and it actually makes my GT more unique as well.

I think its a bit ironic how the first thing a V6er does is get a GT spoiler and the first thing a GTer does is get rid of the GT spoiler in favor of a ducktail or similar.

That's because we want to change our cars into something that we did not originally buy!.. And we do this in the name of "making it my own!.." Me I just want to take my spoiler and push it back so it is flush with the top of the trunk!..

I bought my new edge without a spoiler on it and it looks fine. Will keep it that way till I can afford the saleen wing.

No spoiler with the black out kit o a coloured car looks AWESOME, that being said I do like the look of the duck tail on the 05+ Cars as well.

Nice! As far as the handling you're right..... I went with a group and we rented a local road course for the day and I was able to run with a GTR for a while.... His dyno proven 550whp to all 4 wheels left me hanging half way down the straight though, lol

Re: Spoiler delete haters

I think the stock spoiler is hideous. I have owned over 14 Mustang but they have all been Foxes except for a '94 Cobra and an '03Cobra so I've limited knowledge on the S197. Going to ditch the factory spoiler for a Roush or Saleen soon or take it off completely. Looks good both ways.
