That's awesome!
Im gonna have to start saving some bucks for getting that.

Just the Manifold (ford racing) costs 700$. But i know it worth it.

But right now with my CAI and the other stuff you know, id rather headers than intake. After headers cams and theeen the intake

Can someone explain what a stall converter is and why you need one when you get gears? I've been back and forth over whether to go got the 4:10s
Can't wait to hear about OPs results...

Re: Who has 410 gears?

NEW QUESTION: Any of you guys with the 4.10s and a Automatic Trans, did any of you change your stock Torque Converter/Stall Converter? If you did, which did you change it to and what changes did you notice??

It depends on your mods. If its a 50/50 street strip car then yeah but if it's just a bolt on n/a car with 4.10s then I wouldn't buy a higher stall. Higher stalls are better with higher cams and turbos, but a near stock car IMO wouldn't be worth the labor and cost. Just my 02

Thanks "Stang.racr", That probably fits, cause I could not get any definate possitive yes from my Performance shop, was getting more of a "Not Necessary" type of reply.

Go back and read the article, it helps explain more about what they do and helps justify if you need one

I also read that is very VERY recommendable to change rear end seals and bearings when changing gears.

The kit is just 75$ and might be very helpfull.

Now that's a seriously valuable tip. I am SO on the fence. Only thing keeping me from doing this is that my car is my DD.... I'm very interested to read OP and others results.

Mine is also my DD but this makes things funnier! Look, with 1.5k i bought 4.10 gear, steeda short shifter, steeda CAI and sct tune, and worth it! Runs a bit more but its enough! Also spent 2.5k buying rotors and pads, struts, springs and strut bar for Safety! Greeat mods, great gain and 4k that made me so happy! And aint scared because these mods are very "low profile"

Re: Who has 410 gears?

RVA and MustangCaracas, I also use my stang as a DD, RVA you will get/notice a HUGE difference in your car if you add the 410 gears (seriously), words can't describe how amazing that will feel. BUT, you will get a MPG loss, you will notice that if you are the type of person that counts ypur gallons and Dollars. In the city, not as noticable. On the HWY, BIG notice. But the fun and excitement is unquestionable.LOL.

Re: Who has 410 gears?

Wow, that's amazing. Then you should definately get the 4.10s or 3.90s or 3.73s. Either of those will make a big difference in your car. I don't remember which Trans you have in your car. With the 4.10, you will put a task to your tires, so learn how to shift, take off easy, until you get use to the Gears.
