anyone have nitrous?

Just got my zex nitrous kit installed on my 07 stang. What kind of times should I expect. I'm doing a 100 shot. Mods include Ford racing intake manifold, k&n fnpk, steeds underdrive pullies, 4.10 gears, o/r xpipe, flownaster 40's, 2 step Rev limiter, and nitro 555r Dr's.

Haha please don't ask these questions cause you could be a really good driver or a real crappy one so there's no point in telling you anything cause you either be disappointed or surprised, but if I had to give you a fair guess I'd say low 12s maybe..... Just maybe 11.9s

Ha OK. Well I'm pretty much an armature still getting my launch down so I can rule out 11.9 right off the bat. LOL. I haven't run with the launch control yet so I'm hoping that will help. I have it set at 3500 rpm. Is that a good starting point?

I have it set at 3500 now. I have never used the launch control at the track before. Last time I went I believe I launched at about 3000 but I'm not sure cause I was looking at the light.

Re: anyone have nitrous?

If you are launching at 3,000 and have your window for the nitrous set at 3,500 you may have a tough time hooking up depending upon your tires. The nitrous hit is pretty big, instant torque without good tires you will spin. Even with good tires with the 4.10 gears and 100 shot you may have some spin. Best thing will be to go to a test and tune and see what works for your car.

Reading your post I'm not sure now if you have a stick or automatic. It would be tough to bring it up to 3,000 without pushing through the lights on an automatic so I assumed you have a stick.

I have an automatic and was launching at 1800 and had the window set for 2,300 with a set of Mickey Thompson ET Streets - the nitrous would hit about the 60' mark so the car was rolling pretty good by then.

I do have a manual. I also have the window switch set to skip 1st gear to try to avoid wheel spin. I've never driven anything faster than my gt so I'm sure it will be a big surprise anyway.

Re: anyone have nitrous?

Good idea using the "skip shift" - your car should be rolling pretty good when it fires off. I'll be watching for your first post after trying it out!

I was trying to remember the times one of my friends ran with his GT on a 100 shot. But I can't remember now, and can't recall all that he has for mods anyway. I don't think he has 4.10 gears but it seems like he still ran a low 12 or high 11.
