Re: 4.6 to 5.0

ok.... scratch wut i just said. it doesnt apply to ur application. anyway, as much as those motors cost... u r better off just stroking your 4.6 to a 5.0. instead of tryn to buy a coyote powerplant. i think it will be cheaper and you will find more resources and tech for the project...imo

Re: 4.6 to 5.0

ill b honest...ima pushrod guy, so im a lil bit outa my element here. companies like scat come to mind.. and there are sum others. you are taken on an expensive project. i think the kits for a mod motor start around 2300.. just depends on wut kinda power u wanna make. personaly, i would throw a blower on it and call it a day. but dont quote me on that. someone here that is 4.6 smart should chime in any second now..lol.

If ur just stroking it to 5.0 then it will be alot cheaper and very worth it if u want big numbers the dealership that my friend owns forged mine and everything and I have a ford supercharger on mine and it was worth all u have to do is shop around and see how much it will cost to do it everyone is different in how the do things so u might can find a good deal

It would be far cheaper to strike the 4.6! Lol! I agree with the others.... You can check out some companies...... Blow by racing, coast high performance, there are others out there. I think modular power house might have some stuff for you as well. I think you'll be looking at 3k plus depending on the stroke, forged and what compression you want.
