Re: Plastic Dip my Hood

that looks really good! How durable is plasti-dip? I've seen emblems plasti-dipped that need re-done every year or so...

did you have to scuff up the paint and can it be removed if you dont like it or is it there to stay?

How did you get the lines sharp?
Did you have to use a blade to peel off the tape to prevent it from tearing into the lines?

When it was dry I took a razor an lightly cut the edge of the tape so when I pilled the tape the plastic dip didn't pull up with the tape

Do you think that the edges will lift or peel up over a short period of time?
Seems to me that unless it is able to make a real good bond it would likely lift at the edges during regular driving and weather.

Looks fantastic now just not sure how long it will last before it looks trashy

I go threw a automatic car was by my house every week.it's a very high quality wash,my paint looks good as new.I buff it 2 times a year.some auto washes do damage your paint. But if your clear coat scratches that easily it's to thin/old
