Im am idiot!!

So, this afternoon my 06GT starting running rough, very rough and the service engine light came on. I had no idea what was causing it. I couldn't figure out what was going on. As I was driving, it would feel like as if the throttle would cut out and then surge. The first thing that I thought was "limp mode". I couldn't thinking of anything else other than "what the hell is going on?!" As soon as I got home (it took me a few times of pulling over and letting the throttle settle down I opened the hood to disconnect the battery and let the codes clear. To my discovery, the K&N intake tube that I installed on Friday had some loose and slipped off the TB. Like I said, i'm and idiot.

Yep! Another lesson learned us how I take it. As long as I didn't get hurt and my baby(GT) is ok it's all good. I plan on taking a look at Ml new mods every couple days after install, I just didn't even think of this when if first happened.

I find that I have to tighten those clamps for a week after installing. just keep a socket or screw driver in the car and give them a twist till you can't anymore.

Same thing happened to me. Now I tighten mine everytime I change the oil. It must be a KN thing.

I've done my oil change and the gasket off the old oil filter stayed on the car. Started the engine......mobile 1 all over the driveway. Most expensive oil change ever.

Yeah, I know how that feels. I cross threaded the new oil filter once when changing the oil in my old jeep and didn't notice until I went to pull out is the driveway and oil was shooting everywhere. That was definitely a FML experience.
