Road noise

I have had my 08 GT for a few months. Road noise seems to be a bit loud. Has anyone experienced the same and remedied it?

Better tires would correct a lot and if it's wind noise make sure all the seals around the doors are good

Have you checked wheel bearing? Hard tires can also give you a decent amount of road noise. Is it convertible?

I believe its the tires. Even if its a vert the extra noise will b minimal. Ford done thier home work on the s197 verts. Could also b in the gears , but that would b more of a whine.

I believe the tires are most the issue. Not so bad that I want to replace them yet.

Good question... I have bad road noise as well... Do you have aftermarket suspension? Or the silver horse flush mount quarter window louvres? All those can cause more road noise.... Btw taller the tire less the road noise... And tread patterns can cause less or more noise too

Stock suspension and no quarter window lovers. Plan on getting a rear seat delete soon. May add some sound deadoning.

If you're getting road noise there's an easy solution. You need 1. A louder stereo or 2. A louder exhaust or 3. A pro charger. Anyone of those should do the trick.

Re: Road noise

Although I like red Gt's reply, from experience I can tell you that a new set of tires will probably fix your noise problem.
