headers with mid pipe

does anyone know if my pypes midpipe (shorty) will fit to any headers or stictly to the pypes longtubes? reason being is i have the midpipe but the headers have been out of stock for like 3 months and im at the point of ordering another pair cause im tired of waiting....ive also checked other stores and apparently its pypes thats on back order so i cant get them anywhere....

Late model restoration has pypes lt in stock now,plus u get forum discount. I just got a set.

All I saw they had were the set that came with the x pipe also... I already have the x pipe but I'll look again

Well they wouldn't sell me just the headers and American muscle keeps telling me "oh just 1-2 more weeks and we will have them"
They have been telling me that since the beginning of January!!!

Most companies will if they can resale it as new. I know late model will. They say so on thier site .

well i looked into it and it would cost me over a hundred dollars more since when i ordered my xpipe i got it on sale and 20 bucks off that....and i ordered the headers when they were 499 plus the forum discount so i pissed cause i dont want to spen more money but i want the flippin headers already!!

Fort worth...but that's what I was saying I wouldn't want to spend more than I already have, which would be like 120 more, just to get it all sooner...now if I had money to blow then heck yeah I'd sell it to you and order them together

Make sure u use copper coat on both sides of the header gaskets.... Help keep leaks from happening

Any hardware store... It's in a rattle can... Makes a huge deference ... Are u doing this on a lift or jacks?

Yea I have an 02.. Idk how they r for S197 mustangs. But as soon as I got done installing them I had no choice but to take them off

Yea it was by far the biggest pita. Nothing short of a nightmare.. But like I said that's on an 02.. They got good reviews on AM for S197 mustangs so u might be ok

thanks!! yall know of any little kinks that i should know of so i can save myself pain and anger on sat while i do the install...im gonna pick up the copper spray silver sky was talking about...my buddy recommended some PB blaster, ive never used it but might as well....im pretty good with a wrench but ive heard its a hell of job!! oh i forgot a case of brew to the list

Took us 10 hours w a lift but I suck w a wrench... We removed the following:
Steering shaft
Ac compressor
Both motor mounts
Starter

I'm not sure what brand u have but I ran hooker
And I need aftermarket motor mounts because my steering shaft hits the driver side header when I take hard left corners... The aftermarket move up the motor a 1/2 an inch allowing it to clear the steering shaft
