Shorties will be a waste of money. Go with LTs for more gains and if you plan on cams or SC down the line then you will need the LTs.

On my 07 I did full exhaust,CAI and tune all at the same time and it was a nice gain. I also had 4.10s so that helped the butt dyno.

That's also another question I had. 4.10s or 3.73s I've heard a lot of good about the 3.73s but nothing on the 4.10s.

I love my 4.10's. Puts some pep in your step. Not good on gas at all on the interstate though unless your doing the speed limit. I'm doing like 2800 Rpms at 75.

4.10s are awesome. They will snap your head into the seat and get you into the power band faster. If it's a fun street car (not talking about street racing) then you will love it.

True...... Tapping the pedal in 4th or 5th on the highway will put your head in the seat.

Re: Debating between shorties or long tubes. Any advice?

Only thing you have to remember is planning ahead. If you are going to go the SC route and are planning a KB or Whipple type then 3.73s would be best. If going with a Novi,Paxton or Procharged then 4.10s are perfect. 4.10s are perfect for NA also.

Yes I will be going to SC route and thank you for pointing that out I honestly didn't think about that. Any other advice on the 3.73s?
