Clutch

Have a 08 s197 stock block no power adders. The problem I am experiencing is the clutch is allowing the car to roll even though the clutch is all the way in.
I launch the car over 5,000 rpm in doing so the clutch pedal will push against me and let the car roll like the clutch is not pushing all the way..
I run the ram power grip hd.
If you have a question about the car or the set up ask please...

You measure for preload, and if needed place a shim under the TB

Get a vacuum pump and vacuum the master cyc to make sure all the air is out of the sys. Only other thing i can think of is a piece of clutch material could have broken off and folded over and doubled up.

Man I own a shop and I can't figure out what you referring to when you say TB. I am going to take the line out and not let it drain ( it is also not the factory line) then reinstall the line and use the vacuum the system down to bleed it I will let you know what the results are. We think it has air in it but I am not sure

Re: Clutch

Ram has a pdf, work sheet to figure preload on their web site. All so vacuum bleeding works the best, pull 15" of vac let stand for 5 minuets.

Seriously man? ur gonna hop on my nuts for offering a solution for the wrong generation of car? that's cute... I'm pretty disappointed in your criticism... Non constructive and unnecessary good luck with your clutch repair.

I think I remember reading something about an adjustment for the ram TB, so I would think that would be the issue. I don't know how to do the adjustment though, but I'm pretty sure there is one.

There are no adjustments other that shimming the T.Bearing or buying an aftermarket adjustable T.Bearing

That's what I mean. I think the ram TB is adjustable. I know the OEM one isn't.

The factory one obviously isn't adjustable.. The factory is shimmed to .044? And ram said they want there's clutch shimmed at .055? So they gave me a part # and it's 399.00. I haven't always had this problem this is why I am so confused. It doesn't make since to me that this problem just occurred I should have just bought the McLeod rxt.. There is so many problems with that ram it is bull ****

I hate it when things like that happen! You'll have to update us on the McLeod, I'm in the market for an aftermarket clutch, so I think the ram might be out for me!

Do not buy ram.. I have a friend with the McLeod and he has a Shelby making 620hp to the wheels and that what he bought he loves it pedal feels like stock and his will hold 1200hp. I on the other hand just bought mine I spent over a grand and I think I will be happy. I will give y'all a update. And I bought mine from lethal performance
