sct tunner question

I just got my tune for headers ,o/rx. I downloaded it to device. My question is, how do I know it erased the previous tune. I never saw an option , just custom tune.

Did you enter a new name for the new tune? The SCT device requires that you provide a new name before you upload a tune to the device. If you don't change the name, the previous tune is not overwritten.

I had someone else load the tune onto device. I'm illiterate on a computer. If it weren't for the iPhone I couldn't even get on this forum. As for the sct , all I'm seeing is custom tune. It's not giving me a choice. Starting to wish I'd left the car alone and played with the 83. I can tune a carberator and parts are 1/3 the cost.

The menu option on the SCT tuner will always say Custom tune. Once you select that, you will see another screen which then shows the name of the tune. Since am SCT tuner can hold up to three custom tunes, you will either see one, two, or three tunes to choose from.

I am certain there are a few YouTube videos you can look for that shows exactly how it works.
