Why in the world would you spend blower money on an exhaust!?!?!? That does not even make sense... Even if it was full titanium header back!! And I've looked at what I thought was every aftermarket product for our car and I've never seen such a thing! I call bs

To each their own man.. You were telling someone on here to lower their car before they even had a CAI and tune.. IMO that is crazy talk.. But hey.. To each their own.. And OP could have spend that much if he paid a shop to do it.. Still pretty high.. But depends on where he lives..

He could have got a super charger for that much, I don't see how someone could spend that on pipes.

A.)How does lowering the car first not make sense? You get great looks and the car handles much better....
B.)a cai and tune is $500+ and depending on budget that might have been possible for him...
C.) the poster asked for people's opinion... I did not "tell" him what to do
D.) the cai and tune is the most overrated mod on the net.... Talk to most performance shops and that will not be what they say to do first. A reputable shop will tell you to do the following depending on your goals:
Do the driver mod first (spend money on track entry frees) learn your car, get your times down as low as you can then upgrade your suspension (Uca,lca, springs, rear sway bar...ect) once u have mastered your times w those you can start with the bigger items (aluminum drive shaft and fly wheel, better clutch, gears) now your car is running in the 12s an you know your car... At which point you then start on motor mods.... Because your car can handle extra power while not sacrificing tire spin, wheel hop, or worrying about anything breaking

I still don't think he meant to say 5500 for just the exhaust, that's Impossible even if he got the over rated kooks with cats for what 1200 and the most expensive axle back 600 and let's say they rapped him on the install 1200, still got more the 2 grand to play with, I think It was a typo but then again didn't this kid already have an account here?

More crazy talk IMO.. MOST people don't run their cars at the track.. CAI/tune is the BEST bang for buck mod you can do.. And about 95% of mustang owners should do that first.. And it's going to cost him close to 500 to lower it correctly anyway.. And you are one of the first people I have EVER heard say CAI/tune is overrated.. Again to each their own though

Tune yes CAI no, tune and gears are a good combo, I wanna see a tune with just a stock air box and a tune with the Internet favorite steeda intake a see on the dyno the lack of difference in hp numbers
