Plasti Dip Emblems

Okay so I'm really wanting to black out all my emblems, thinking of pairing but I hear that Plasti Dip is a lot easier. Can anyone tell me the best methods for this and if so how long it's life expectancy is?

As in spray the whole emblem as well as an inch or so around it. Wait for it to dry completely, and peel the stuff that's on the paint off. If will leave a clean edge around the emblems.

I wonder how well it would hold up on the rims? I doubt I would ever actually do it over powder coating but who knows, it might be the new way to go.
