Stock Flowmaster exhaust on 06 GT?

I bought a 2006 mustang gt from carmax. It sounded louder than any other mustang, do after I bought it I crawled under it and saw it had flowmasters. Now I know that carmax takes off any improvements, so I'm wondering if these came from ford? Any input?

Yea I guess u did but if u put an off road mid pipe in the flows will break.... Ive not met a single person w flows on a s197 that did not get rid of em ... The welds break due to being poorly made... Just FYI

I have to ask..are you saying that there is a good chance that if I were to put a off road x pipe on my flow master mufflers would brake?

I don't even know how this makes sense in your mind? So only these s197 have so much volume and force in our exhaust the pressure blows out the flowmaster?

I've been pushing Flowmasters since 99 and never had not one issue w/ them. Several bodybstyles and off road pipes and again not one issue w/ breaking welds. I can't believe that Flowmaster couldn't produce welds that can't hold a off road pipe .... Flowmaster has been the #1 leader in muffler longer than anyone else. Not buying this mess

Actually not all AT mufflers are black. The black mufflers specify the series such as 44s etc. The 40s are normal grey color.

I've always gone flowmasters simply because it suites the Mustang V8 IMO. The mid pipe is the only thing I've changed over the years. Which is now the Mac pro chamber which sounds beast on my Termi
