borla tick

A while ago I installed borla stingers, and they have always had a ticking to them. No matter what I did I could never seem to stop the leak.

I know its not my injectors or anything else like that because I can hear those.

So finally I took it to a muffler shop to just have it welded together. When they looked at it they said that there wasn't a leak that they could find and said it would be better to not have it welded up.
I can't stand the ticking noise and I'm all out of ideas! Any ideas from anyone??

BTW my full setup is stock manifolds, pypes o/r H pipe, catback borla stingers.

I have same problem but a buzzing sound... I think it's just the way axle backs sound on 3v ... I can't stand the way 3v sound..... I'm going to a mid muffler set up because that is the closest thing to the 2v sound...

In your case it seems like the valve train is echoing through your exhaust

I don't think its the valve train because that sound is completely different and I can hear separate from the "ping" that is almost as loud as my exhaust.

We might sound a little worse then the 2vs but at least we are fast and to me that's worth it

Re: borla tick

Where are you hearing the sound come from. Never had that issue with my 05 or 07. The 07 sounded badass with the setup I had.

I've always had a tick from my stingers too. Welded them up and nothing changed.
