Roush intake any good??

Was thinking of going with a roush intake and a tuner down the road when i can afford it, my question is, is roush a good intake for my 06 GT? All I have done is muffler delete axle backs, I also plan on doing a offroad x pipe, thanks for the help.

Not a bad one, but I wouldn't buy it. Try to find a JLT or steeda, C&L.. The tuners usually have preset tunes for those brands. Seeing how your saving money you are probably trying to save as much money as possible.. Buy used.. You can find a used "major brand" CAI for around 100.. And a used UNLOCKED tuner for 150.. But make sure it's unlocked..

does it require a tune? If it does not pass on it unless you dont want a tune

My friend had a roush intake on his gt, didn't require a tune... Therefor I would agree and try to stay away from it. I'm a fan of JLT & C&L + a tune. And I have muffler deletes and at one time bought a pypes off road h mid pipe and I couldn't stand it for more than a week or two, and I like my car loud and scary but that wasn't quite the sound I got.

The Airaid is the same as the Roush, just without the name. It cheaper and just because you don't need a tune does not make it bad. You can get a tune later or at the same time. If you do get a tune just make sure you take the MVT or "insert" out for the MAF. I have it and have no regrets.
