Lol.....nice. I will have to agree with this statement but I would also like to add the word "fun" somewhere in there.

Re: Race Tune

A stock car on a race tune is a treat.

It took me a while to get used to the way it drives when cold with my 4.10s but I love it!

I have a 'street' tune in my tuner that I have NEVER loaded. 93R as my DD I'm very happy.

I have bama race 93 tune... Recently switched to the 93 street... To improve my bottom end... I lost mpg and power... Back to race... But I'm done w email tunes... Getting ready for dyno tune... Email tunes are not for me, generic tunes just don't perform like I would like... But they are perfect while building ur mod list

This.

Once I add the driveshaft, cams and IM I want to do one dyno tune and them I'm done.

I did 70 punch against a stock same year same mileage car... I have every bolt on and only pulled a car length on him... We never got out of 3rd but still I would think I should have at least pulled a two cars on him (driving is not why this happend... Does not take a good driver to push the gas ) I chalk it up to the tune (I was running the street tune at the time)

That is a very inaccurate way to measure the tune. Mainly because one car length in one gear sounds about right. Especially if your were still pulling. Additionally, a few tenths will be gained and lost on reaction. If he hit the gas .3 tenths of a second sooner than you, and you pulled one car, that means there was potential to pull 4 cars.

Nothing can give you an accurate measure of power like an E.T.

So it is possible you can race him again and beat him worse. You get what I am saying? Don't downplay your car. You may just be used to it

I understand all of what you are saying... However this is not my only reasoning behind not being satisfied w the tune... I was just using it as an example...

Re: Race Tune

Just installed a CAI. Using street tune first. Want to see what the performance upgrade and mileage will roughly be on the same gas. Then will go and see what the race tune does to the performance and mileage..... Want to see how much is the CAI vs the tune upgrades.
