Re: Inspection time... Little worried

Just go get it inspected and see what they say. It's only $12, if you fail, ask why and then worry about what you need to do. Right now it's all speculation.

It's 14.50 in a non-emission county. 40 something for emissions which is where he's at. 40 dollars is a nice hit to not even get a sticker

Exactly, when I do an inspection and the computer tells me it failed somewhere else, I make damn sure I check everything.

You're screwed then. You have to get it inspected and you don't know what will fail without getting one. Maybe you could go to an emissions station in another county and just talk to the guy.
There are really no car clubs around you. Surely more people around you have the same problem.
I mean it's $65, but what are you choices?

I agree with basohol. If It's that much trouble, why would u take them off in the first place. I'm catless and unless I put it on a dyno, you can't tell any difference in performance. It's all in everyone's head.

If you race and run a 13.0, you will cringe knowing you have cats.

I do live there. Yearly emissions, 02 and tail pipe test.

Again, $20 on top and a different car on the sniffer. Too bad you aren't in PA.

Could you create a tune for something like this? We can tune to make more effy and get more power & MPG. Why not make it more emission friendly?

That's why I'm glad about Kansas. There is one inspection if the car isn't originally in KS. There isn't any inspection after. Although I have seen some cars that they should have an inspection on.

This is why I am glad to love in SC. No inspections ever. But a car, do whatever you want to it and then drive it. The most you have to worry about is if your city has a noise ordinance.

Re: Inspection time... Little worried

Don't see all the drama, I run BBK LT's w/ high flow cats, plus tune and other bolt on's. My car is not that fast, runs 12.7 in the 1/4. it legally passes VA emission.
