Pypes mid muffler has a real good sound but fitment is terrible. I changed the pypes deletes out with roush deletes, much better fit + o/r x pipe

Re: new exhaust

Are you sure it all fits together? Pypes mid mufflers descriptions say it is intended for shorty headers.

Also, fitment for my system was ALMOST perfect. Driver header rubs column, which is common. I fixed it with a pry bar.

Long tubes nor shorty pipe is the problem. The mid muffler exhaust is the problem. Once you get it aligned without mufflers hitting the gas tank you will have to have hangars on tailpipes rewelded to fit into bumper holes. Nonetheless it is a great sounding exhaust but not a lot of research was put into the fitting on the s197 stang It makes you think the mufflers are under the trunk for a reason lol

Word of advice.. Buy the same brand!! Do NOT mix and match long tube/mid muffler set ups... You will be fighting it for day's if you do..

Sounds like more of a hassle then anything now. Seems like if i go that route ill have to have someone else get the pypes mm on with all the issues of welding and what not

I hear ya, I've got a exhaust graveyard in my attic from trying to find that right sound. It is a hassle but every time I crank it i get a big smile on my face and anyone within hearing range.

I like the hood but the part that comes down in the middle of the scoop makes it look like a nose and it makes it ugly so if that wasn't there it would be better
