Weird Smell???

so i noticed that when i really get down on my auto strang there's a weird burning smell.. It only happens when I'm either out of over drive or when gear shifting my transmission any idea what this is??

nah its not rubber that smell is unmistakable its kind of hard to explain because I've never smelled anything similar to this:-/

I think what you might be smelling is transmission. I recently had the tran fluid flushed in my ford truck and for about a week or two if had a burnt smell on start up. The dealer over filled. When I inquired if there was a leak they seemed dumbfounded.

I don't think you'd be smelling trans fluid unless it was leaking, I changed my fluid tons of times and never smelled anything, unless it leaked out on the exhaust! I even burnt the fluid withy tq converter stopped locking up, still no smell

i don't know what it is I have recently had Ford change my transmission fluid and screen but i was smelling this even before they changed that.

Yea I got to think overfilled means it spilled everywhere. I might be one of your catalytic converters about to go bad
