Quick question about control arms

Have about a week b4 I go to the track and I have time for one mod, what helps more lower control arms? Or upper control arm? I'll do both eventually but i can only do one right now, so which one helps the most?

Re: Quick question about control arms

Lowers for sure, they lock the wheels down and prevent the axle from moving up near the wheels. The upper helps with the geometry and keeping the rear end down more securely, but lowers make a huge difference. You will be amazed!

The launches are ok, but doing a burnout rattles the car loose haha feels like everything is breaking! Probably is too haha

The launches are better too. Hitting 2nd feels like the front comes up noticebly more. Did you make it 500 miles on the new setup?

Up at 650 miles now, never launched it yet tho, but the car is just all around more pleasant, could just be me, but the car feels faster now, it breaks them loose in first like crazy now! I think the old clutch was slipping ever so slightly

Awesome, it'll be interesting to see how much your track time improves. I changed my plugs for the first time on this car this weekend and it seems to run better. The old ones looked like a sharpened pencil.

13.2 with 1.9 60 foot time was my best ( really really strong head wind )

Now I've added and off road x pipe, 15x8 jegs stars w/ Micky Ts and a CenterForce dual friction clutch and I'll be going down the best prep track in the whole world! Also I'll have added LCAs

12s or bust baby

40oz will do, just do one side at a time. Need a buddy to push the rear end forward to make the bolt up. 30min job with help.

Ford recommends new bolts, but if you reuse make sure you use lochtite. You can use a bar clamp to push the axle forward and line up the holes if necessary.
My install how to got published on AM for the steeda's. It should be the same for most lca's. It might help. You need a torque wrench to get to 129 ftlbs. Also on the fronts make sure the bolt assy sits in the frame tabs when tightening.

12 pack is best, the extras are good for when you're done.

Being lowered LCAs will ONLY help turning. If he lowered the car, without relocation brackets the LCAs will still be at the wrong angle.

Talking about lower control arms as opposed to the upper control arm. The car is not lowered. Sorry for the confusion.

Basohol, are your DRs 28" or 30" ? Ordering a set but can't decide. I think with my set up 30" tires would work best , idk. I would still have an inch of clearance I think. Also I belive you said 6 1/2" back space correct ?

That's a good size. I always lean toward the 26"s . Mostly cause stock gears turn them better
